Vaccination Against Covid-19

ここから本文です。

Covid-19 vaccine can protect you from developing the symptoms of this disease or becoming severely ill. It has been established that those who were vaccinated develop the symptoms less frequently than those who have not received the vaccine. (According to the reports, Covid-19 vaccine prevents the manifestation of symptoms with approximately 95% efficacy.)

By getting vaccinated, you:

  1. Protect yourself from developing the symptoms or becoming severely ill, even if you get infected;
  2. Alleviate the pressure on the medical system by reducing the number of symptomatic or severely ill patients that require hospitalization.

With this in mind, the Kobe City Government urges its citizens to receive this vaccination, making sure they have a correct understanding of both the disease prevention effects and adverse reactions associated with this vaccine.

In order to show the safety and effectiveness of this vaccine in an easy-to-understand manner, the municipal government will use this and other websites to disseminate the following information shared by the national government and other organizations:

  1. Information from previous clinical trials
  2. Assessments made by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare
  3. Results of health surveys conducted after the preliminary vaccinations, which began on February 17, covering approximately 40,000 medical workers

In addition, should a patient develop anaphylaxis, seizures or another serious adverse reaction following the vaccination, all vaccination facilities within Kobe city will carry epinephrine (adrenaline) autoinjectors and make contingency plans for all kinds of adverse reactions. The municipal government is making all necessary preparations to ensure that all of our citizens who wish to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, can get it as soon as possible.
