Kobe City Flower: HydrangeaThe city flower was established in May 1970 in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Kobe municipality and the International Exposition. Hydrangea was the most popular flower in the public questionnaire in those days. It grows wild in clusters in the wide range of the Rokko mountain system and delights us with its beautiful and delicate light purple color and the impressively large inflorescences.
