Kobe Airport
is a class-three airport, which will be managed by the City
of Kobe. Located approximately three kilometers south of
Port Island, the airport is only eight kilometers from Sannomiya
(the center of Kobe), and is connected by the new transit
route of the Port Liner in about 16 minutes. The Kobe Airport
will be an urban airport providing great convenience and
accessibility.
The number of passengers estimated to use the Kobe Airport
is 3,190,000 at the beginning of service and 4,030,000 in fiscal
2010. Transporting
passengers in the Kansai region along with Kansai International
Airport and Osaka International Airport. |

They will link Tokyo(Haneda), Sapporo(New -Chitose), Sendai, Niigata,
Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Okinawa(Naha). Through the airport, we plan
to bring in people, goods and information
to Kobe, and support speedy transfers between cities as well
as promote the establishment of on-site airport businesses. |
